Meaning if I have my mount pointed at south at lowest or highest offset, adjusting the declination shifts you center some degrees east or west. Second, it looks as if when you adjust the declination, it is actually moving the center point of the dish. So my question is what is the scale that should align at the lowest and highest points of declination? I'm at 40.3 degrees north so I need to figure out where to spin the dish to the proper declination. There is a paint mark on the dish back plate tube that helped me mark the point of greatest and least offset. So for now, I need to use the spinclination mount.įirst issue is that there is no scale on the mount to set the declination. Need to get a custom steel bracket fabricated to mount this dish to the H-H. Unfortunately I couldn't mount the dish to an H-H mount I have because I could get the brackets to marry. For those familiar with them, I'm using the Arc-Set tools which are great for alignment, except for the spinclination mount. I'm at the point where I'm ready to align it. I finally got it built and mounted a couple weeks ago. It is an Orbitron SX-10 that I had in storage since 1998. I've been working on putting up a second BUD over the past couple years.
